How Essential Depot Uses Good Manufacturing Practices.

Essential Depot puts the highest importance on producing premium quality products with every effort taken to ensure purity and safety.

Long before our products reach the market we have established a trail of accountability to track the raw goods from arrival in our warehouse to departure of the finished goods in your order.

Upon arrival of the raw goods lot and invoice numbers are recorded that are referenced throughout the manufacturing process insuring expiration dates are accurate for the end product. Essential Depot maintains an audit trail by use of a work order and serialized label system that serves many purposes within the company. The work order not only sets a schedule and timeline for the task, but also assigns the project to certain technicians, rating their efficiency and quality of work, while tying into inventory control and ISO 9000 compliance.

The serialized labels allow us, in the event something should go wrong to track back to a specific time and place and identify the error quickly by tracking our products based on the UPC code and serialized labels.

 

The first step in preparing a work order comes when a managing team member evaluates the priority of projects and determines the specific tasks that will be assigned to primary technicians.

Essential Depot Uses streamlined tools specifically created for our managing team on the Google apps for business platform consisting of three major components – a front-end user friendly application for assigning tasks, a scripted back-end in charge of PDF creation and email transmission, and a reporting and tracking system for analysis and accountability.

 

The manager starts by opening the task creation tool and filling out the fields such as assigning manger, start time, primary technicians and support technicians.

Once the manager presses the submit button the scripted back-end takes the information creates a personalized work order.

The script then converts the work order to a secure non editable PDF and E-mails that to the manager assigning the task and archives a copy of the work order for future reference. all happening within fractions of a second.

The manger then prints the work order and hands it to the primary technician for completion of the task.

When the task is completed the primary technician hands in the signed completed work order to the manger on duty, the manager verifies the information is filled out completely and accurately then the manager signs off on the form.

Once the hard copy is completed the work order then goes to our data entry staff for recording into the master database using a user friendly web form.

When the form is submitted the information is placed into our secure database for later analysis and error checking.

In the rare event a problem does arise we are able to trace the error back and take steps to correct the issue.

 

These systems help Essential Depot to facilitate increased accuracy in manufacturing while decreasing customer support issues and will allow scaling up from thousands of products per week to millions.
